ABOUT
I'm Kelsey Stoulil Holmes, the human behind Studio la Banane. I’m an independent designer, creative director, photographer, and artist based in Portland, Oregon. I've spent a decade designing and creating for the food and beverage industry in a variety of roles, most recently as Art Director at Salt & Straw.
My work pairs nostalgia with modern sensibilities and gravitates toward objects and images that feel kept rather than consumed: the labels on the cans in your grandma's pantry, the records you flipped through as a teen, the family photos being sold at a thrift shop. It lives in the space between documentation and imagination, where something ordinary can feel surreal.
Everything is crafted by hand, analog-influenced, and made without AI, out of a reverence for authentic making and the human experience behind it.
